This trail system provides temporary roads for rough terrain

A UK-based manufacturer developed a trail system that provides temporary roads in rough terrain. This innovative system enables the creation of portable roadways and runways for military, industrial, and humanitarian applications. FAUN Trackway, a company that has been providing innovative and efficient solutions in military, disaster relief, and industrial applications for decades, has developed these temporary roads. Modular roadways and runways made of aluminium panels are their main product line.  These roadways have modular aluminium panels in various widths, so they can easily interlock via tongue and groove joints. It creates suitable roads for wheeled and heavy equipment.  This will be essential in military operations, disaster relief operations, industrial operations, and crucial public gatherings to provide temporary roads.  Unveiling the Mechanics of FAUN Temporary Roads…

These organisms can light up with their own self

These organisms can light up by them selves

Imagine walking along a beach at night and seeing the water light up with a beautiful blue glow or  a forest where mushrooms shine with a soft green light. It’s not a miracle, those are Bioluminescent organisms and they would be a sustainable lighting solution for future. As a research scientist from San Francisco, Jamie Parker would find this topic especially as a natural phenomenon where living organisms produce light. Bioluminescent organisms are creatures that emit light through a chemical reaction inside their bodies. This process involves a substance called luciferin and an enzyme called luciferase.  When these two react, they produce light without generating heat. This light can be seen in various forms of life, including bacteria, fungi, insects like fireflies, and many marine…

This robot has a brain made from human stem cells

Breaking a new ground, a Chinese research team developed a robot that has brain made from stem cells. The robot currently has the ability to grasp objects and to avoid hazards, but potential for future development is limitless. The robot was developed by researchers of Southern University of Science and Technology and Tianjin University. The invention has been compared to Neuralink of Elon Musk The research team developed an “organoid” of brain using stem cells. It is then linked to humanoid robot by the way of ” brain on chip technology” as per researchers. While this is a first giant step the opportunities are limitless. The technology might push boundaries of current stem cell research. How the robot was developed The Chinese researchers used organoids….

Alligator’s voice can change by inhaling Helium

Alligator’s voice can change by inhaling Helium

Did you know that when Alligators breathe Helium, their voices change? This change occurs just like in humans, due to inhaling helium. Takeshi Nishimura, an associate professor at Kyoto University’s Primate Research Institute, along with his team,  answered this bizarre question and won the 2020 Ig Nobel Acoustics Prize. Their research revealed that alligators, like humans, change their voices when they inhale helium gas. This study started with a sense of fun and led to fascinating discoveries about animal communication. When we inhale helium, our voices become high-pitched and squeaky because helium is lighter than air, causing sound waves to travel faster. This same principle applies to alligators, which was a surprising and amusing discovery. The Research Process The team needed to get an alligator…

This bacteria turns mosquitoes against to deadly diseases

This bacteria turns mosquitoes against to deadly diseases

Mosquitoes are considered as one of the deadliest incest to human, what if they are not just pests but heroes in the fight against deadly diseases? However, then, you could live free from the fear of mosquito-borne illnesses. A team of scientists from the World Mosquito Programme found a method to transform mosquitoes by leveraging a bacteria called Wolbachia. Each year, around 247 million people contract malaria, and many more suffer from diseases like dengue and Zika. To combat these illnesses, scientists at the WMP (World Mosquito Program) have tested this method in 14 countries with impressive results. How Wolbachia defeats viruses in mosquito bodies While scientists are turning mosquitoes into fighting against diseases, the key to this solution is a bacteria called Wolbachia. This bacteria…

Scientists discover fungus that can collect gold

This fungus can collect gold and precipitate onto its surface

Australian scientists discovered a new way to find soiled gold, but it’s not a chemical or a tool. It’s a fungus that interacts with gold in an unexpected way, so this might be a clue for miners to find new gold deposits more effectively and environmentally friendly. A team of scientists conducting research in Perth, Western Australia, discovered a unique fungus called Fusarium Oxysporum near Boddington. This discovery was published in the journal Nature Communications. Oxysporum can attach gold particles to its spindly strands by dissolving its surroundings. The research also highlights, how the fungus could help miners to find new gold deposits and recover gold from waste products like sewage and electronics. Scientists are still studying why the fungus interacts with gold and how…
