The plot of the Summerland
Summerland revolves around clothing designer Ava Gregory. She is in her 30s. Ava is raising her niece and nephews after their parents die in a tragic accident. They all live with 3 more of Ava’s friends. Three of them help Ava to raise those kids in the city of Playa Linda, California. The show flows between these friends and the family. It shows the struggle they face and how they adapt to their new lives together.

Summerland initially consists of 8 main characters. Lori Loughlin acts for Ava Gregory. She plays the main role in the show. Shawn, Merrin, Ryan, Jesse McCartney, Taylor Cole, Panabaker, and Nick Benson are starring in this show. Then in the second season, Zac Efron adds to the main cast. Bradin Westerly (Jesse) is the oldest of the three children. Derrick Westerly (Kay Panabaker) is the youngest child of the family. Johnny Durant (Shawn Christian) is Ava’s ex-boyfriend. Susannah Rexford (Merrin) acts as Ava’s best friend. He is a business partner and a roommate.

When did Summerland end?
Producers announced its cancellation on 15th May 2005. Eventually, the last episode aired on 18th July 2005. Jesse McCartney explained the reasons for the cancellation. He says “show was in a crazy time slot and the writers were having trouble.” “It was a just bad call.” He added.
