H.G. Buzz Bissinger’s, A town, a team, and a dream is the non-fiction book used to make this tv show. It is a true story. Bissinger has written this true story in 1990. 2004 film has created based on this non-fiction book. Actors use the same names which are in the book.

Peter Berg is the developer of this series. Friday Night Lights premiered on 3rd October 2006. It consists of 5 seasons. There are 76 episodes in it. It aired for two seasons on NBC. W.G. Snuffy Walden and Bennett Salvay are the composers of this tv show.

Writers did a strike in the second season. Then it shortened to 15 episodes. With time, the series suffered low ratings. Then producers tend to cancel the series. Then the NBC network had a deal with DirecTV to co-produce three more seasons. Each season premiered on DirecTV’s 101 Network. The last episode of season 5 aired on 9th February 2011. After a few months, NBC Network rebroadcasts all those episodes.

Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are the main roles of this tv show. They featured the High school football coach Eric Taylor and his wife Tami Taylor. Friday Night Lights include characters associated with football and high school. Gaius Charles, Zach Gilford, Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki, Scott Porter, and many more dedicate their time to starring in this show.

It is a tv show that used a small town to depict many issues in American culture. Such as family values, school funding, racism, abortion, drugs, and many more. Eric Taylor hires as the head football coach for Dillon High School. Friday Night Lights shows how the stress of a town gives the high school players to win. It depicts how a football team creates some hope for a small town and how a team becomes so skillful with dedication.

Friday Night Lights won three AFI awards, An Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award for Outstanding Drama Series. It won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Directing. Also, it received nominations from the Writers Guild of America. The executive producer Jason Katims won two Humanitas Prize awards for writing. In 2011, Kyle Chandler earned the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series.

Where was Friday Night Lights TV show filmed?

Austin and Pflugerville are the locations mainly used to film the Friday Night Lights. It uses actual locations rather than stage sets and sound stages. Those factors provide the tv show with an authentic feel and look. Producers have used documentary-type filming techniques to shoot each episode.

Texas uses another location for the filming activities. Temple University uses as the location for one scene in June 2010. The Boston area is also used for the shooting of an episode. The Boston College, Boston University, and Tufts University are the locations used for that episode. They use Gregory Gym at The University of Texas at Austin to film some more scenes.
