Smartwheel Net Worth 2023 Update (Before & After Shark Tank)

"Smartwheel " Net Worth 2023 Update

Smartwheel is an intelligent steering wheel that helps prevent distracted driving. This was started by TJ Evarts, Jaiden Evarts, Bryeton Evarts, Paige Balcom, Emily Balcom, and Kate Balcom. Smartwheel’s net worth was $333,000 in 2013 based on the Shark Tank deal.

In 2013 they appeared on Season 4 of Shark Tank USA and made a deal with Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban, $100,000 for 30% of equity.

Smartwheel was still a prototype when it was featured on Shark Tank. Despite securing a deal, the Shark investors and owners of  Smartwheel could not agree on licensing the product; therefore, the deal did not come into effect. The owners launched a kickstart campaign and also searched for other funders. However, they did not have much luck and the company became inactive in 2019. The company’s FaceBook account is still up, but the product is not available in the market.

Conclusion

Some companies that appear on the show have not achieved great success, and the Smartwheel was one of them. Sometimes businesses don’t succeed because of many reasons. Sometimes, the deal falls through after the founders say yes on camera. Or, as you’ll see, sometimes things happen to the founders themselves, and they choose to abandon the business. Anything is possible. However,  Smartwheel went out of business in 2019. And the product is no longer available in the market.
