The word ‘Beggar’ that we know of, often paints a picture of extreme poverty. But Bharat Jain from Mumbai, India has given a whole different meaning to the word. He is the world’s richest beggar and currently has a wealth of around 1 million USD. Surprisingly, he continues his lucrative career as a beggar even now!

Many sources reveal that he has invested the earnings into real estate. He also has two residences in Parel and Mumbai. Not just that, Bharat proudly owns two stores within the city limits. He is married and is a father of two kids who are still in school. Currently, Bharat lives in a residence in Parel with his family. 

Bharat Jain grew up in Mumbai and his family was struggling with poverty. He even had to give up his education because of the family’s poor financial situation. With such unfortunate conditions, he started begging in the streets of Mumbai. However, things started to change for Bharat and his fortune took him on the path of a millionaire

Jain’s family is reportedly unhappy about him continuing to do this. His family has requested him to stop but he refuses to give up begging even now. He is still seen in some locations in Mumbai like the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station (CSMT) and Azad Maidan. He begs for 10-12 hours each day and makes a generous amount of money in each location.
