Since the episode aired in 2007, many are wondering whether RUBY TATES is still open or closed. As of 2024, RUBY TATES is closed in Brighton nearly 17 years after Gordon Ramsay’s visit. 

RUBY TATES, also known as Love’s Fish Restaurant, had a good start but unfortunately closed down in 2009, around two years after Gordon Ramsay visited.

In a conversation with The Telegraph, Allan explained that the closure of Love’s Fish Restaurant was a result of the challenging economic conditions during the global financial crisis in 2009.

RUBY TATES update 2024 – Where are they now?

As of 2023, the former site of Love’s Fish Restaurant in Brighton is now home to Pavel, an Indian restaurant.

Pavel, the Indian restaurant at the old Love’s Fish Restaurant location, is doing well according to reviews. It has received 4 stars on TripAdvisor and an impressive 4.5 stars on Yelp.

What happened to the owners of RUBY TATES?

Following the closure of the restaurant, Allan, the owner returned to the entertainment industry in 2013. He has been working with West One Media since then.
