What Is Blindsight?
Blindsight is an experimental brain-computer interface, or BCI, that skips the eyes altogether. It sends camera input directly to the visual cortex, the part of the brain that normally processes images from our eyes.

The U.S. FDA has granted Blindsight a Breakthrough Device designation. This speeds up the review process because the technology could treat a serious condition.
