La Parra de Burriana update 2024 – Where are they now?

After Gordon Ramsay’s intervention on La Parra de Burriana in 2006, the restaurant faced initial improvements, but Laurence ignored Gordon’s menu advice. In the 2007 revisit, Gordon expressed concerns, and his worries proved right as the restaurant closed in August 2008. As of 2024, La Parra de Burriana remains closed, with no signs of reopening. Chef Ramsay revisited in 2007, but the restaurant ultimately didn’t sustain success.

What happened to the owners of La Parra de Burriana?

Lawrence Davey founded La Parra to provide a unique dining experience for Brits in Spain beyond the typical fish and chips. Lawrence secured a £40,000 loan from his father to establish the restaurant, strategically located 500 meters from the beach. Lawrence embarked on this venture with a catering degree and prior nightclub management experience in the UK. However, despite his efforts, the restaurant did not achieve the desired success.
