A rapid rise

The Australian dancer began pole in the mid-2000s and won Miss Pole Dance Australia after only months of training. Her combination of flexibility, acrobatics and theatrical presentation quickly made her routines reference points for other dancers.

Cane won World Pole Dance championship titles in 2009 and 2010.

From competition to major stages

She performed in Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity and later joined Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour. Those productions required repeatable technical precision under touring conditions—very different from preparing one competition routine.

Signature movement and teaching

Cane became associated with extreme split-based pole shapes and later focused on teaching, studio direction and competition development in Western Australia.

Why her work matters

Pole artistry demands grip strength, spatial awareness, flexibility and pain tolerance while making effort look intentional. Cane’s performances helped global audiences see those components together rather than treating pole as either sport or spectacle alone.
