Is Trobiano still open or closed?

Since the episode aired in 2008, many are wondering whether Troiano is still closed. As of 2024, Trobiano is closed in Great Neck, New York, nearly 16 years after Gordon Ramsay’s visit.

Trobiano’s restaurant shut down in 2008 after New York state seized it due to unpaid taxes, indicating that it was not the quality of the food that led to the closure.

Trabiano update 2024 – Where are they now?

It seems like Trobiano’s restaurant experienced a positive turn of events following Gordon Ramsay’s visit on Kitchen Nightmares. Despite initially being too busy to consider marriage, Anthony proposes to Tiffany with a diamond engagement ring on relaunch night, and Gordon surprises them with a wedding ceremony, indicating a significant transformation in their lives. The family appears visibly more relaxed, suggesting an improvement in their overall well-being. However, it’s unfortunate that Trobiano’s closed just one month after the episode aired, around eight months after Gordon Ramsay’s visit. Without reviews from after Gordon’s changes, it’s difficult to gauge how well-received his interventions were by customers.

Following the closure of the restaurant, the former Trobiano’s site in Great Neck, NY has housed various eateries like Bijan and La Stella restaurant, all of which have since shuttered. Currently, the entire block appears to have been demolished and is undergoing redevelopment into condominiums.

It appears that the entire complex will consist of approximately 40 units, including both retail spaces and dining establishments. Regarding residential options, residing at the former Trobiano’s Long Island New York location comes at a high cost, with a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo priced around $1,270,600 which means these properties are quite upscale and come with a hefty price tag.

What happened to the owners of Trobiano?

Following Trobiano’s closure, Anthony briefly worked as a chef at Speranza Food Studio, which later closed down in 2011. Subsequently, he served as an executive chef at Cirella’s in Melville, New York. A 2016 article from Long Islander news confirms Anthony Trobiano’s role as the Executive Chef at Cirella’s. However, it seems he has transitioned out of the restaurant industry and is currently employed in sales.
