Sip Herbals on Shark Tank – What Happened
Sip Herbals gained national attention when it appeared on Shark Tank. Co-founder Orleatha Smith asked the sharks for $100,000 in exchange for 10% equity.
She shared her personal struggles with stomach issues, and the effects of coffee, which led to the creation of Sip Herbals.
“I wasn’t going to give up my morning coffee routine without a fight, but traditional coffee was wreaking havoc on my body,” Orleatha explained during her pitch.
Orleatha also added a humorous detail that stuck with the sharks.“Do you know what’s in artificial vanilla flavoring? Beaver butt!” she exclaimed, sharing the surprising fact to highlight the importance of clean, natural ingredients.
Despite her engaging pitch, Sip Herbals didn’t secure a deal. However, the exposure from the show gave the business a significant boost.
Orleatha and her team took the feedback from the sharks and continued to grow their brand independently.
