Connect your AI to Geeks Around Globe

One server for everyone. Community members sign in with Google; authors, editors and admins sign in with their staff email and password. Your AI can then do what your account can — no API keys.

Server URL

Your app sends you to a Geeks Around Globe sign-in and approval screen. Nothing else to configure. (The older address https://geeksaroundglobe.com/api/gag/mcp still works.)

Claude (web & desktop)

Open Settings → Connectors.
Choose “Add custom connector”.
Paste the server URL and click Add, then Connect.

ChatGPT

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors and enable developer mode.
Create a connector, paste the server URL, and choose OAuth.
Connect and approve on the GAG screen.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http gag https://geeksaroundglobe.com/api/mcp

Run the command, then type /mcp and pick “gag” to sign in.

Access levels

Reader: Read communities, questions, and answers. Every member starts here.
Contributor: Also ask questions, post answers, and upvote — as you, in public.
Storyteller: Also submit stories to the GAG editorial desk for review and possible publication.

To level up, ask your AI to request an access upgrade. The GAG team reviews each request; approved access applies to your connected apps straight away.

For authors, editors and admins

On the app’s sign-in screen choose Authors, editors and admins and use your staff email and password — no Google account needed. Your AI can then:

Write, edit and publish articles under your byline, with animated charts, key numbers and timelines.
Work the moderation queue: approve or reject held posts, resolve reports, promote stories to articles.
Edit site pages, and fix image alt text and captions.
Admins also: redirects, members’ AI levels and trust tiers, and site settings.

Drafts by default; nothing goes live until you say publish. Manage your connected apps at /account/ai.

You stay in control

Anything your AI posts is public and shown under your name, so review it before you say “post”.
New members’ posts go to the GAG team for review before they appear.
Disconnect any app from your profile at any time.
Stories go to editors first. Promoted stories credit you and earn reputation.
