TV shows not to watch with parents

Some TV shows create only for adults and contain sexual appearances, sexual abuse, harassment, murders, and many more. When watching with your parents, it could lead to an uncomfortable discussion. They may ask about your opinion, about your own sexual experiences as a teenager or a girl. Sometimes parents will question your favor, interest, and selections. Therefore, it is better to watch these tv shows without your parents. Here are some tv shows you should not watch with your parents.

1. Girls

Girls is an American comedy-drama series. Lena Dunham is the creator of it. She is the main actress in this show. The series circulates around four young women living in New York. The first season of the Girls was filmed between April and August 2011. Girls’ tv show premiered on HBO on 15th April 2012. It consists of six seasons. There are 62 episodes in it. 

The storylines in the show are based on creator Lena’s real-life experiences. It shows sexual experiences that are messy, and awkward for the females. The show also features an abundance of nudity. “Girls” brakes so many barriers to facing sex realistically on TV. “Girls” tv show received Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Television series in 2013.

It is a British drama series. It aired from 27th September 2007 to 22nd March 2011 on ITV2. The show creates based on the blog and books by the Belle de Jour. It stars Billie Piper as Belle. Lucy Prebble is the narrator of the show. The TV show consists of 4 seasons and 3 episodes.

Secret diary of a call girl follows a high-class girl called Belle (Billie Piper). Belle is a young woman who lives a secret life as a call girl. She is servicing a variety of clients in London. The show flows with so many odd sexual requests from Belle’s clients. The Show contains many humorous approaches to sex. Therefore, many critics try comparing it with the tv show “Sex and the City.”  

3. Skins


Skins is a British teen comedy-drama television series. Skins were created by the father and his own son Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain for Company Pictures. It premiered on 25th January 2007. The “Skins” consists of seven series and 61 episodes. Fat Segal is the theme music composer of the show. There was an American version of this show. It premiered on MTV in January 2011. But Skins in America canceled after six months due to its high amount of sex content. 

It follows the lives of a group of teenagers in Bristol, South West, England. Each episode focuses on a different character and the struggles they face in their lives. The show is best known for containing teenage sex, such as masturbation and pregnancy.

4. True Blood

True Blood is an American fantasy horror drama television series. Alan Ball is the creator of this show. It aired on the premium cable network HBO, in the United States. The series premiered on 7th September 2008. It comprises seven seasons and 80 episodes. The first five seasons of True Blood received highly positive reviews. True Blood creates based on “The Southern Vampire Mysteries” by Charlaine Harris. Each episode runs between 45 to 60 minutes.

The series revolves around Sookie Stackhouse. It starts by featuring half-naked women. True Blood gives a hint to anyone about the number of sex scenes contains before even watching it. It includes various instances of full female nudity. If you are going to watch True Blood with your parents, they will question you about your mindset.
