Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s Sahenshah, was most recently seen in Jhund, a biographical sports film in which he plays Vijay Barse, the story’s title character. The film got released on March 4, 2022. Nagraj Manjule directed and wrote Jhund, which is produced by T-Series, Tandav Films, Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and Aatpaat Films and financed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj, Gargee Kulkarni, and Meenu Aroraa. The biographical sports drama is based on the story of Vijay Barse, a social worker who inspired slum kids to join a football team, and Amitabh plays him.

In addition to him, the film stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru, who both appeared in filmmaker Nagraj’s popular Marathi film Sairat. Jhund will now be launched on the ZEE5 streaming platform.

Plot

The story is based on the life of Vijay Barse, a sports teacher and social worker who started Slum Soccer, a non-profit football club for impoverished youngsters who are interested in the sport. His Eureka moment happened when he saw a bunch of kids playing football with a broken pail. Hundreds of children’s lives were forever changed by what happened next.

Jhund is locked in for a digital release on online streaming platforms. ZEE5 has acquired the streaming rights to the film, which will begin streaming on its platform on May 6, 2022.
