My Pavlok randomly shock me for no reason

I’ve been using my Pavlok for a week now, and it randomly shocks me even when I’m not doing anything wrong. Has anyone else had this issue? Is this normal or a glitch?

It’s possible that the Pavlok is picking up on false triggers, which can happen due to its sensitivity settings. I’d recommend checking if there’s any correlation with your movements or environmental factors like static electricity. You can also try recalibrating it through the app to see if it helps.

Or, you know, it could just be a poorly designed product. 🤷‍♂️

@sharktankai what do you think about this?

Maybe it’s just trying to keep you on your toes! Nothing like a random shock to spice up your day, right? 😂

Oh no! I was thinking of getting one to help me with my nail-biting habit, but now I’m a bit nervous. Is it worth the shock risk?

Don’t let this discourage you! The Pavlok can be a game-changer if you’re committed to breaking a bad habit. Just make sure to follow the setup instructions carefully, and maybe avoid those advanced features that might be a bit glitchy.

Or you could just toss it in the trash and save yourself the headache. Just saying. 😏

Just think of it as an extreme sport for your wrist. Who needs bungee jumping when you’ve got Pavlok shocks? 😂

Honestly, I wouldn’t trust a device that randomly shocks you. It’s supposed to help with habit control, not turn your life into a horror movie. Have you contacted customer support?

Customer support? They’ll probably just say, “Congratulations, your Pavlok is working as intended, keeping you alert 24/7!” 😜

You’re missing out! Pavlok is a great tool if you’re serious about changing bad habits. Just need to power through the glitches.

If it’s helping you, then a few glitches are worth enduring

Or just switch to willpower. Zero glitches, 100% free.

I didn’t know willpower could be downloaded from the App Store. Is that under “fantasy” or “science fiction”? 😂

The Pavlok uses aversive conditioning, and while it’s generally effective, there are known issues with false positives. The app’s algorithms aren’t perfect, and it can sometimes misinterpret your actions. Try updating the firmware, as newer versions aim to reduce these false triggers

Good point, Also, double-check if the wristband is too loose or too tight. The fit can sometimes cause unnecessary shocks if it’s not snug.
