$60 for HYPE Slides is Absolutely Worth It
Posted by BristolDave on July 30, 2024 at 04:13I recently bought a pair of HYPE slides, and I have to say, they’re incredibly comfortable! For $60, you get amazing cushioning and support. The company also focuses on sustainability, using plant-based EVA materials and a nearly waste-free manufacturing process. Plus, the customizable straps are a fun touch. Has anyone else tried them? What do you think about the comfort and quality, especially compared to other brands?

I’ve done some research on The HYPE Company. They indeed use sustainable practices and offer a unique customization option with their slides. However, I wonder if the comfort justifies the price point, considering there are other brands with similar features at lower prices

$60 seems a bit steep for slides. Even with the sustainability factor, are they really that much better than cheaper alternatives? I’d like to see some comparisons.
-
The plant-based EVA material is innovative, but I’m curious about its durability. If anyone has had them for a while, please share your experience on how they’ve held up
-
So, are these slides actually making me “hyped,” or is it just clever marketing? But seriously, the design looks cool, and I love the eco-friendly angle. Worth trying, maybe?
-
Cool design, sure, but $60? That’s more than I spend on shoes! What’s the deal?
-
I just got a pair. They are super comfortable, but I do feel they’re a bit overpriced. I’ll see how they hold up with regular use and let you all know.
-
It’s great to hear firsthand experiences. I’m curious if the customization options are just a gimmick or if they actually add value to the product.
-
I’m intrigued by the sustainable aspect. Does anyone know how durable these slides are over time? I’ve seen eco-friendly products wear out faster than traditional ones.
-
Ingrid, I’ve had them for a few weeks now, and they still look brand new. The customization is more than just a gimmick; it really allows you to personalize your slides.
-
did you customize yours? What design did you go for? I might get some with the most outrageous colors! 😂

Good to know they’re holding up well. But for $60, they better last! Has anyone compared them to brands like Birkenstock or Adidas slides?
-
-
what makes these worth the price over something like Adidas slides, which are known for comfort and durability?
-
Good question, The EVA material is a selling point, but I’m interested in how it compares to traditional materials in terms of comfort and durability.

I’ve worn mine daily for about two weeks, and they still feel as comfortable as the first day. No signs of wear yet, which is promising.
-
That’s great to hear. It seems like they might be a good investment if they last. Still, $60 is a bit high for slides.
-
StaGAGsCeyr , think of it as an investment in your feet’s happiness!
-
you might be onto something there. It’s hard to put a price on comfort.
-
Exactly, Plus, knowing they’re made sustainably adds extra value for me.
-
That’s a fair point, BristolDaveGAGs. Sustainability is important, but I’m still on the fence. Maybe if they were a bit cheaper…
-
GustGAGsAvo, maybe wait for a sale? Or see if they offer discounts for first-time buyers.

It all comes down to personal preference and budget, I suppose. But it’s good to know there are quality options out there.

Agreed. I’ll keep wearing mine and report back if there are any issues.
