I’m setting up a new network and came across the term “SFP port.” Can someone explain what an SFP port is and how it functions? From what I gather, it’s a modular interface used on network devices, allowing for different types of connections, like fiber optic and Ethernet, by inserting SFP transceivers. What are the benefits of using SFP port, and are there any specific considerations I need to keep in mind when selecting transceivers for these ports? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
